Our unique business model, combined with our dedication to delivering the highest quality products, enables team members to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.Position DescriptionAs a Landscaper and Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:Care for established landscapes by mulching, aerating, weeding, and trimming flower beds, walkways, and wallsOperate power equipment mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and vehiclesMaintain indoor and outdoor plants and treesUtilize proper International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) pruning standards on shrubs and treesClean debris and trash within the Applied Medical property and landscapeMaintain all landscape tools and equipment to ensure proper working orderInspect tools before and after each use and clean them on a regular basisMix, spray, and spread fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides, as neededUnderstand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow label instructionsMaintain irrigation systems by documenting and reporting areas needing attentionReport any concerns about plants and trees in the landscapeUpkeep of facility sidewalks, driveways, and parking lotsPosition RequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes:Minimum of 2+ years experience working as a Nurseryman, Groundskeeper, Irrigation Specialist, Landscaper, or similarStrong desire to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing landscape environment for Team Members to enjoyExperienced in the use of power tools, such as saws, trimmers, shovels, and rakesProven track record of good work ethicValid California Driver's License with a clean driving recordBenefitsCompetitive compensation range: $20 - $21/ hour (California).Comprehensive benefits package.Training and mentorship opportunities.On-campus wellness activities.Education reimbursement program.401(k) program with discretionary employer match.Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.Please note that the compensation range may be adjusted in the future, and bonus and incentive compensation plans may apply.Our total reward package reflects our commitment to employee growth and well-being, as we invest in your development and offer a range of benefits designed to enhance your career and life.All compensation and benefits are subject to plan documents and written agreements.Equal Opportunity EmployerApplied Medical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
