Open contract role with an ongoing contract opportunity. The RN Supervisor - Peds plans and develops programs to improve patient care and employee performance while overseeing pediatric service areas, including NICU and Mother-Baby, PICU, General Pediatrics, and other pediatric specialty units. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role monitors unit performance, partners with nurse managers, supports corrective action, and develops record-keeping systems for medication errors and counseling.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance.
• Monitor patient-care performance across pediatric units.
• Assess unit operations in collaboration with nurse managers.
• Communicate and assist with corrective action as needed.
• Oversee NICU, Mother-Baby, PICU, General Pediatrics, and other pediatric specialty units.
• Develop record-keeping systems for medication errors and counseling.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in pediatric nursing supervision.
• Registered Nurse license.
• New York State RN license verification through the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
• BLS Certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric Nursing experience.
• Nursing Supervision experience.
• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, or inpatient Pediatrics.
