Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Cath Lab experience Sedation experience Atherectomy experience IVUS experience Thrombectomy experience RCIS certification (preferred) Description: Facility Overview: This facility is the area's only Atrial Fibrillation Certified hospital. It is the area's first Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The facility is also an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The campus includes an all-private room acute care hospital, a mental health facility, and a comprehensive physical rehabilitation hospital. Affiliations: The organization is affiliated with the nation's leading provider of healthcare. Major services offered include cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, emergency care, behavioral health, obstetrics, and rehabilitative medicine. Unit Specifics: The Cath Lab has 4 rooms and a holding area. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1. Unit staffing includes 2 CV analysts and 10 RNs. The type of equipment used includes GE imaging. Documentation is managed through Merge Hemodynamics and Meditech EMR. Scheduling requirements involve 4 ten-hour shifts and 6-8 shifts on call per month, with one weekend per month. Floating policy is not required. Patient experience requirements are determined by the facility. Procedures performed include LHC, RHC, coronary intervention, PPM insertion, EP studies with ablation, Watchman, TAVR, and PFO closure.
